Quadratic Postcards
We started this quadratics project by learning what parabolas are and learned how to create quadratic equations from them. We used desmos, a website that creates graphs from equations to look for patterns and see if our answers were right. We learned how to find the find the vertex, a, y intercept and x intercepts. We also learned how to convert equations from standard form to vertex form.
The Quadratic Postcard is about finding parabolas in everyday life and creating a questions to solve from it. We then design a postcard explaining how we got our answers. We made three drafts of the questions and postcards. On our final draft, we write or type our explanations and add pictures or graphs to help explain.

I think this project went very well because I put a lot of effort into working out the math. I also made sure to have a plan for where everything will go on the note card. Something that was a struggle for me was doing the math because sometimes I made a small mistake and that would make me have to start over again. I made sure to be very organized when writing out my steps so I don't make mistakes and made sure to check my work on desmos. This project helped me become even more comfortable with quadratic equations.
